Following comprehensive assessments of the Northwest districts of Cambodia which recently experienced devastating flooding, DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) responded quickly to bring some relief to the flood victims in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China has expressed gratitude to Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) for their swift response in dispatching financial and material aid to assist those suffering from the deadly tsunami that occurred in northern Japan on 11 March 2011.
On 27 February 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain held the last Dharma Assembly for Transmitting the Light Ceremony at Ziyun Monastery of Kaohsiung City to honour the compassionate teachings and vows of the late Venerable Master Shen Yen. More than one thousand people from Kaohsiung and nearby townships attended this event.
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) has swiftly offered financial and material aid to tsunami-afflicted victims in northern Japan on the following day of the devastating tsunami on 11 March 2011.
'DDM 14-Day Chan Retreat welcomes you'. In the 14-day Chan retreat, one learns to isolate oneself from the past and future, and becomes focused on the present. One pays no attention to what others people think, say or do and therefore releases oneself from any entanglement with others.

The Peace of Mind Relief Station in Jiaxian District of Kaohsiung City hosted the End-of-Year Philanthropic Party on 16 January 2011. The station cares for a total of 59 disadvantaged households with approximately 140 recipients.
Following two Dharma assemblies held respectively in Taipei and Taichung, the third Dharma Assembly for Transmitting the Light Ceremony was held at the main auditorium of National University of Tainan on 26 February 2011.
On 22 January 2011, the Peace of Mind Relief Station in Linbian Township of Pintung County hosted the End-of-Year Philanthropic Party at the Chiang Yuan Primary School for economically disadvantaged households.
This was a special day for 84 elders from remote villages of southern Pingtung County and Kaohsiung City. On 26 January 2011, volunteers from Peace of Mind Relief Stations in Pingtung and Kaohsiung accompanied 84 elders to a party at E-Da Crown Plaza Hotel, which is also the party’s main sponsor.
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) conducted a three-day camp from 21 to 23 January 2011 at Ji Lai Ecological Resort Farm of Kaohsiung City in order to continue caring for teenagers in Liukuei who are victims of the 88 Flood that occurred in 2008.
On 19 February 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) hosted a Dharma Assembly for a “Transmitting the Light" ceremony. The event which was held in the main auditorium of Hung Kuang University in Taichung City, attracted approximately two thousand Buddhists to attend.
