Following comprehensive assessments of the Northwest districts of Cambodia which recently experienced devastating flooding, DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) responded quickly to bring some relief to the flood victims in the region.

On 25 August, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) in the Linbian Township of Kaohsiung City organized a one-day event for the elderly.
On the afternoon of 31 August 2011, both Nung Chan Monastery and Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies were credited by Taipei City Government for their long-term humanitarian efforts towards the disadvantaged.
The ‘Five-Year Relief Project’ in Sri Lanka, which was initiated after the deadly tsunami that struck in 2004, has been successful. Though the project wrapped up in December 2009, DDMSWCF’s concern about the poor people in war-torn northern Sri Lanka continues.
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a small but warm party was held at the Wish-Fulfilling Guanying Hall of the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education on the evening of 12 September, 2011.
On the evening of 10 September, 2011, Tiennan Monastery of Dharma Drum Mountain held a party in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) at Linbian Township of Pintung County held a one-day family trip on 11 August, 2011, at Shuanlung National Park.
On the morning of 5 September, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Foundation, Yunlai Monastery, Nung Chan Monastery, and Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies were recognized by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) for the long-term humanitarian works in Taiwan and abroad.
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) held a two-day summer camp in Jiaxian District of Kaohsiung City from 20 August 2011 to equip disadvantaged students with skills to use in their daily lives and understanding Buddhism.
28th August was the birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. In celebration this year, over three hundred faithful Buddhist believers made a pilgrimage to the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan District, New Taipei City.
On the afternoon of the 19th of August, 2011, Secretary General of DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF), Venerable Guo Qi, and Vice President of DDM General Association of Dharma Supporters, Mr. Chu-Qi Huang, attended a tea party held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at the Taipei Guest House in Taipei City.
