DDM Recognized by the Ministry of Interior for Humanitarianism
On the morning of 5 September, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Foundation, Yunlai Monastery, Nung Chan Monastery, and Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies were recognized by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) for the long-term humanitarian works in Taiwan and abroad.
The awarding ceremony was conducted by the MOI at the Multifunctional Convention Hall of New Taipei City Government. Venerable Guo Yue, Venerable Chang Ying, and Venerable Jian Xin represented DDM to receive the honors from Minister of the MOI, Dr. I-Hua Chiang.
