DDMSWCF Jiaxian Holds Two-Day Summer Camp
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) held a two-day summer camp in Jiaxian District of Kaohsiung City from 20 August 2011 to equip disadvantaged students with skills to use in their daily lives and understanding Buddhism.
There were a total of 57 participants, including 24 students and 23 volunteers from Jiaxian’s neighborhood.
The programs were inspirational and provided students with knowledge in areas such as networking confidently, teamwork, prostration, and meditation.
Students also had the opportunity to learn about ‘Protecting the Spiritual Environment’, developing a positive attitude towards life and learn methods to manage stress.
