Following comprehensive assessments of the Northwest districts of Cambodia which recently experienced devastating flooding, DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) responded quickly to bring some relief to the flood victims in the region.

On 8 May, 2011, Vice Abbot President of Dharma Drum Mountain, Venerable Guo Pin, accompanied with other medical members from Taipei, arrived at Chenjiaba village of Northern Sichuan in China and co-presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Chenjiaba Medical Center.
On 24 April 2011, Ziyun Monastery of Dharma Drum Mountain in Kaohsiung City hosted a special event in which a total of 164 financially disadvantaged students received financial help.

Starting from14 May, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) has hosted a number of activities at the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan, District of New Taipei City to celebrate the Vesak (the Buddha’s birthday).
The 41st World Earth Day on 22 April, 2011, inspired over 100 million people worldwide to actively engage in activities geared towards environmental protection and sustainability.
On 8 May 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain hosted a jubilant and special event at the Zhongshan Square of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei to celebrate the Bathing of the Buddha Festival and Mother’s Day.

As a gesture of compassion and care to those who suffered from the deadly tsunami in northern Japan, twenty students from Jiaxian Primary School wrote down their words of encouragement on hand-made postcards.
On 10 April 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation offered financial assistance to a total of 177 disadvantaged students from the Linbian District of Kaohsiung City. Various interesting and entertaining activities were organized for students and their families.
Following a 16-day Dharma pilgrimage in mainland China, 11 members of Dharmāloka, Croatia, visited the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education from 26 to 30 April, 2011.
On 17 April 2011, over 1,200 people faithfully assembled at the Grand Buddha Hall of Nung Chan Monastery in Taipei City to take the refuge in the Three Jewels and pledged to follow the teachings of the Three Jewels ─ the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
