Following comprehensive assessments of the Northwest districts of Cambodia which recently experienced devastating flooding, DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) responded quickly to bring some relief to the flood victims in the region.

Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Modi, former President of Maha Bodhi Society in India and current Chairperson of Spice Telecom, paid his first visit to the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan District of New Taipei City on the morning of 31 July, 2011.

On the evening of 30 June, 2011, at the invitation of Dharma Drum Humanities and Social Improvement Foundation (DDHSIF), a renowned Taiwanese chef, Master A-Chi (Mr Yen-Chi Cheng), visited Dharma Drum Degui Academy in Taipei City.
On 21 June, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) donated approximately JYD 3 million (about USD 37,377) to a fundraising campaign recently initiated by Japan’s Rissho University in support of Rissho’s tsunami-affected students.
