DDHSIF Holds a Music Concert at Taipei Prison

On the afternoon of 23 June, 2011, Dharma Drum Humanities and Social Improvement Foundation (DDHSIF), held a music concert at the main auditorium of Taipei Prison, Agency of Corrections, Ministry of Justice.


This was an initiative to create an opportunity to allow the prisoners there to become acquainted with the ‘Six Ethics of the Mind’ and to instill a sense of gratitude and optimism in their lives through music.

Secretary General of DDHSIF, Shen-I Lee; Minister of Ministry of Justice, Yung-Fu Tseng; Director of Agency of Corrections, Hsien-Chang Wu; all attended the concert in support and offered their blessings.

Secretary General Lee said that DDHSIF has been working for the cause of propagating the ‘Six Ethics of the Mind’ and ‘Caring for Life’ for social peace in line with the teachings of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen.

He re-affirmed DDHSIF will continue its work to promote understanding and garner support for the principles of ‘Six Ethics of the Mind’, ensuring that the teachings of the late Master live on.

Minister Tseng expressed his own warmest gratitude to DDHSIF, which has been dedicating much to the promotion of purification of one’s mind and charities for peace in society. He believes that through the collaborations between DDHSIF and the Ministry of Justice, the power of virtue may be planted in the inmates’ hearts and even uplift their spirits.
