DDM World Center Celebrates Vesak

Starting from14 May, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) has hosted a number of activities at the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan, District of New Taipei City to celebrate the Vesak (the Buddha’s birthday).

On the first day of the celebrations, despite the cloudy sky and the occasional drizzle, many people passionately visited the Center to taste the Dharma joy.

On the morning of the first day the DDM Sangha Community specially conducted the Great Compassion Dharani Dharma Assembly during which participants expressed their gratitude to the Buddha and vowed to cultivate a clear mind.

DDM has also organized various interesting stalls in addition to the exhibition of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s Chinese calligraphy works in the hope of conveying the significance of ecological conservation and to spread the Chan joy through the Master’s masterpieces.

DDM warmly welcomes you to join our celebrations proceeding through to 22 May.
