Tiennan Monastery Holds Mid-Autumn Festival Party

On the evening of 10 September, 2011, Tiennan Monastery of Dharma Drum Mountain held a party in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Thanks to volunteers of the Monastery, guests were kept highly entertained with a well-organized program that included the famous Sichuan Opera (Mask Changing), folk songs as well as popular songs.

After the last performance and to conclude the evening’s event, Director of Tiennan Monastery, Venerable Guo Chi invited all guests to participate in a short experience of the Moonlight Chan.

Venerable Guo Chi encouraged everyone to sit comfortably on the lawn and practice meditation for a short while, with instructions to slowly bring the mind to a peaceful and restful state once again, especially after experiencing the high-spirited and energetic performances of the night.

Many guests expressed that it was the most enjoyable party they have ever had for the Mid-Autumn Festival and much credit and appreciation should go to all the volunteers who helped to make this event a success
