Hundreds Make Pilgrimage to DDM World Center for the Birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva
28th August was the birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. In celebration this year, over three hundred faithful Buddhist believers made a pilgrimage to the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan District, New Taipei City.
For these devoted followers, the pilgrimage was an opportunity to show their respect for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, reaffirm their faith in the Three Jewels (the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha) and renew their compassion for the benefit of all sentient beings.
DDM’s Abbot President, Venerable Guo Dong, greeted the pilgrims in the Wish Fulfilling Guanyin Hall. The Abbot President gave a short Dharma talk, encouraging everyone to always hold on to compassion, and to continue building a pure society using Dharma wisdom and compassion.
