A Warm Mid-Autumn Party Held at the Center
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a small but warm party was held at the Wish-Fulfilling Guanying Hall of the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education on the evening of 12 September, 2011.
DDM’s Abbot President, Venerable Guo Dong, Vice Abbot President, Venerable Guo Hui, President of Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies, Venerable Guo Jing, and many others from the DDM monastic community attended for celebration.
The Abbot President said that although participants were there to celebrate the Mid-Autumn, more importantly, they were here to reflect, and ask if their mind is as bright as the moon. They were urged to learn to let go of anxiety and ignorance by applying the Dharma wisdom.
Following the Abbot President’s short Dharma talk, everyone chatted, enjoyed the fresh breeze, tasted tea and appreciated the pool’s beautiful bright reflection of the moon. It was like a family reunion, comfortably sitting by the pool of the Wish-Fulfilling.
