Peace of Mind Relief Station in Jiaxian Hosts the End-of-Year Philanthropic Party
The Peace of Mind Relief Station in Jiaxian District of Kaohsiung City hosted the End-of-Year Philanthropic Party on 16 January 2011. The station cares for a total of 59 disadvantaged households with approximately 140 recipients.
On behalf of the DDM Sangha Community and the Abbot Present, Venerable Guo Dong, the Deputy Secretary General of Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation, Venerable Chang Fa, conveyed the warmest blessings and care to all participants and wished that the Year of the Rabbit would bring happiness to everyone in 2011.
Apart from offering financial aid and distributing relief goods, the event also provided many interesting and interactive activities for everyone to enjoy, filling the air with laughter. Director of Ziyun Monastery, Venerable Guo Yao, who attended the event encouraged all participants to make vows to follow the Dharma and illuminate the Dharma light in our heart which would give rise to an everlasting peace of mind.
