DDMSWCF Volunteers Accompany Village Elders to E-Da Party

This was a special day for 84 elders from remote villages of southern Pingtung County and Kaohsiung City. On 26 January 2011, volunteers from Peace of Mind Relief Stations in Pingtung and Kaohsiung accompanied 84 elders to a party at E-Da Crown Plaza Hotel, which is also the party’s main sponsor.

According to the volunteers, the party was meaningful and enjoyable for those living in southern remote villages because feasting at a five-star hotel had been a fantasy for them and they seldom visited the modern metropolitan city.

Besides enjoying a five-star feast, the elders and their families were also gratified by being invited to play freely at the E-Da Amusement Park. They were very thankful to E-Da for their generous hospitality, volunteers said.

President of E-Da Crown Plaza Hotel, Miss Diana Chen, greeted the arrival of the elders, their families and volunteers of DDMSWCF, and offered her warmest blessings for 2011. She expressed her ardent support of DDM’s vision of ‘building a pure land’ and that E-Da will continue to cooperate with DDM to care for those in need, to promote peace in society.
