On 7-8 July 2012, the Da An Branch office of Dharma Drum Mountain in Taipei City held a two-day summer camp at Taipei’s Da An Forest Park,to allow children to enjoy the practice of Chan (Zen), and to get acquainted with Buddhist etiquettes and the idea of Protecting the Spiritual Environment.
In the 7-day Chan retreat, one learns to isolate oneself from the past and future, and becomes focused on the present. One pays no attention to what other people think,say or do and therefore releases oneself from any entanglement with others.
