China Poly Visits the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education

The President of China Poly Group Corporation, Zhengao Zhang, visited DDM World Center for Buddhist Education for the first time on 4 July 2012.

The visit was accompanied by Executive Director of the Koo Foundation, Hai-Chuan Koo and Director of the Creative Department of Yam Corporation, Hen-Cu Pan.

Prior to their meeting with the Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong, President Zhang and eight other honorable guests were given an introductory tour of the Center.

They visited the Wish Fulfilling Guanyin Hall, the Founding History Memorial Hall, and the Grand Buddha Hall. During the meeting, President Zhang gave his ‘thumb up’ to Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s ideas of ‘Protecting the Spiritual Environment’ and the ‘Six Ethics of the Mind’ that teach us how to purify our vexed mind and to maintain peace in society.

Venerable Guo Dong firstly greeted the arrival of President Zhang and other honorable guests. He emphasized that in line with the teachings of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, DDM has continued to promote the idea of ‘Protecting the Spiritual Environment’ and as the Master had taught, the Dharma is the best medicine for curing the vexed mind. Furthermore, the Abbot President reiterated to the guests that DDM is committed to propagating the Dharma to more people.

The meeting ended with an exchange of gifts between DDM and the guests.
