DDM Daan Branch Hosts a Summer Camp
On 7-8 July 2012, the Da An Branch office of Dharma Drum Mountain in Taipei City held a two-day summer camp at Taipei’s Da An Forest Park,to allow children to enjoy the practice of Chan (Zen), and to get acquainted with Buddhist etiquettes and the idea of Protecting the Spiritual Environment.
Shu-Yu Lee, a camp instructor, stated that the core idea of the camp was based on “Protecting the Spiritual Environment”. Camp activities included the Eight Form Moving Meditation, Walking Meditation and Walking while Holding a Water Bowl.
Through these activities, it was hoped that the children would begin to understand the significance of focus and mindfulness
