DDMHSIF Hosts a Music Concert at Hualien Prison Promoting Six Ethics of the Mind

On 29 June 2012, Dharma Drum Mountain Humanities and Social Improvement Foundation (DDMHSIF) attended Hualien Prison in the afternoon of 29 June, 2012,to host a music concert and introduce inmates the Six Ethics of the Mind.

The Minister of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Mr Yung Fu Tzeng, who holds high regard for the Six Ethics of the Mind which was developed by the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, commented that “If the vexed minds of the inmates could be purified, they would have a better chance of earning themselves a new life again”. Hence, promoting the Six Ethics of the Mind in jails has been positive and meaningful.

The Secretary General of the DDMHSIF, Dr. Sheng-Yi Lee, said that since last year, collaboration between DDMHSIF and the MOJ on introducing the Six Ethics of the mind at prisons island-wide has brought positive transformations upon inmates. He affirmed that DDMHSIF will make further effort into spreading the Six Ethics of the Mind to promote the welfare of all.
