On 16 June, 2007, 200 selected National Chiao Tong University (NCTU) alumni paid their first visit to the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education, Jinshan, Taipei, with an entourage including family members and university staff. The visit was organized meticulously by Zaixin Chew, President of Hong Gah Museum and NCTU alumni, and DDM General Association of Dharma Upholders.

On 15 August, 2007, a deadly earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale struck Southern Peru, it followed with an aftershock of 5.7 in magnitude hitting the same region on 19 August. Within the next five days after the initial earthquake struck Peru, over 500 aftershocks were felt. The disaster has claimed over 500 lives, injuring more than 1,600 people and leaving tens of thousands of people homeless.

Dr. Yo Hsiangchou, chief coordinator of INEB in Taiwan, led the 53-member delegation for a visit to Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan Township, Taipei County, on 3 September, 2007. The INEB delegation paid the first-and-warmest tribute to Venerable Master Sheng Yen and shared experiences of promoting Buddhist education with DDM's Sangha community.

Religious leaders from throughout Asia and Africa, and representatives from their spiritual and cultural traditions, gathered at the headquarters of the Buddhist organization Dharma Drum Mountain outside of Taipei, Taiwan,from 27-29 October, 2007 to explore how their spiritual traditions can bring new understanding and insight into the challenges facing their regions, and how they can build a framework for cooperation based on shared spiritual values.

On the morning of 24 November 2007, the President Abbot of Dharma Drum Mountain, Venerable Guo Dong, and the Abbot of the Chung Hwa Institute of Buddhist Culture, Venerable Jian Xin, buried the ashes of Most Venerable Master Dong Chu in the Life Memorial Garden. The Most Venerable Master Dong Chu had been the teacher of Venerable Sheng Yen.

On the morning of 14 August 2007, Representative of the Israel Economic and Cultural Office (ISECO) in Taipei, Mr. Raphael Gamzou and his wife, Mrs. Michal Gamzou, paid their first visit to Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan Township, Taipei County.

On the afternoon of 16 December 2007, internationally renowned Chinese martial artist Jet Li (Li Lianjie) met with Venerable Master Sheng Yen at the Anher Branch Office of Dharma Drum Mountain, Taipei City.

Warmly invited by National Geographic Society in Taipei, Venerable Master Sheng Yen unveiled a wealth of spiritual dialogue with an internationally renowned explorer, Dr. Wade Davis, on the afternoon of 28 April 2007.

Following the exhibition of Venerable Master Sheng Yen's Chinese calligraphy artworks in Taichung City, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City as well as the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education of Jinshan Township, Taipei County since February 2007, the exhibition tour of the Master's compassionate artworks has reached its last stop at Taipei City.

On the morning of 22 July, 2007, 1 652 followers of Dharma Drum Mountain gathered at Nung Chan Monastery in Beitou district of Taipei City, the origin of DDM's compassionate vows, to take refuge in the Three Jewels and the Five Precepts.
