On the night of June 8 2007, DDM Michigan launched its two-day camp at the Metteyya Buddha Village, the practice site for followers of DDM Michigan. This is the second year that DDM has hosted the touring family camp in the United States, with Michigan as the first stop. The camp activities were led by four of DDM's Venerables from Taiwan.

On the night of Friday 21st September, 2007 Sydney Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association was invited to participate in an interfaith devotional service for the United Nations International Day of Peace at Community of Christ Church in Kingsgrove North. Other religions represented were the Christian, Hindu, Islamic and the Baha'I's faith.
The year 2007 could be regarded as the "fundraising campaign year" for the Chan Meditation Center. Following the success of the event "Singing with Peace, Dancing with Gratitude" on 31 March 2007, further fundraising activities were held by DDM Malaysia to raise money for the Center.
Dharma Drum Mountain Sangha delegation warmly gave their blessings to the world, and especially to the people of Malaysia, at the Guanyin World Peace & Harmony Puja hosted in Malaysia from 30 July to 6 August 2007.
Venerable Guo Dong, the Abbot President of Dharma Drum Mountain, arrived in San Francisco in the afternoon of 12 July, to deliver Dharma talks over three days as part of his tour of the United States.
The theme for the 2007 Children Summer Camp was 'Moral Cultivation'. The camp was led by four experienced instructors from Taiwan.

For the purpose of celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence from Great Britain, 50 Buddhist organizations in Malaysia joined together for the first time to host the Buddhist Culture and Arts Festival, held from 6 to 10 June, 2007. The goals of the festival were to encourage the Malaysian public to further understand Buddhism, and to recognize the positive contributions of Buddhism in Malaysia towards humanity and world peace.
On 31 May 2007, at the invitation of the organising committee, the convenor of DDM Sydney represented Master Sheng Yen and attended the Australian Observance of the United Nations Day of Vesak with two other DDM members at the Sydney Town Hall.
On Tuesday, February 20, 2007 CMC resident Changwu Fashi was guest speaker in the noontime Lecture Series, “Dialogue of Religions, Protecting the Environment: Christian, Jewish, Muslim & Buddhist Perspectives” at the Catholic Newman Center, Queens College, New York. The series is an interfaith initiative sponsored by Campus Ministries of Queens College, the President’s Office, Byzantine & Modern Greek Studies, Catholic Newman Center, Newman Club, Queens College Hillel, and Ikaros Hellenic Orthodox Club. Students and clergy from the four faiths attended.
Accompanied by Dharma Drum Mountain’s followers, Venerable Guo Jian arrived in Chiang Rai of northern Thailand on 12 and 13 May 2007 to award scholarships to fifty-six students from disadvantaged families as a fulfillment of Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s inspirational compassion in supporting education for minority students.
