Guanyin Bodhisattva wasn’t a person of this world. He was introduced by Shakyamuni Buddha in different sutras. However, there have been many legends of Guanyin Bodhisattva responding and manifesting in this world. Therefore many believe in the Bodhisattva. He listens to calls for help and relieves suffering by manifesting in different forms. These are various customs or practices based on one religious faith.
