Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s English Publications in India
Two of Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s English publications, “The 108 Adages of Wisdom” and “The Bodhisattva Precepts” will be published by the Trailokya Buddha Ma-hasangha Shayak Gana (TBMSG) in India.
Dharma Drum Mountain representatives, including Venerable Guo Xiang, Shih Jianchang, the President of Sheng Yen Education Foundation, and Professor Zhang Wenzheng from Fu-Jen Catholic University went to India from 17 to 22 January 2007. They visited TBMSG and had discussions with Mr Dharmachari Lokamitra in Nagpur City of central India about the Master’s publications.
Mr Dharmachari Lokamitra is the founder of the TBMSG and has been actively involving himself in humanitarian works on education, medication and Dharma teaching for reviving Buddhism in India.
As part of this special occasion, the Dharma Drum Mountain representatives conducted introductory sessions on Dharma Drum Mountain and Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s compassionate philosophies at the Nagarjuna Institute in Nagpur City and at the South Jambu-dvipa Foundation in Mumbi City of Southern India.
These sessions were very popular and well received by participants with almost 150 students attended the session at the Nagarjuna Institute in Nagpur City.
