DDMSWCF’s volunteers visit a nursing home in Hualien

On 22 December 2010, volunteers from the Hualien Branch Office of Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation, together with students from Hualien Commercial High School, paid a compassionate visit to a nursing home at Jian Township of Hualien County.

The purposes of the visit were to bring DDMSWCF’s warmest blessings and care to the elderly residents in the home, and to pray for their inner as well as outer peace and harmony in the new year of 2011.

There were fifty aged people in the nursing home.

Volunteers not only practiced the Eight Form Moving Meditation with the healthy elders, but they also paid their warmest regards to the disabled elders one by one, as well as prayed for a year of peace and good health.

The compassionate event ended with everyone singing the song, ‘I Bless for You’, together and the representative of DDMSWCF presenting the gifts to the nursing home.
