BENQ Experiences the Joy of Chan

A distinguished group of guests from the internationally renowned information and communication technology manufacturer, BENQ, experienced a joyous afternoon of Chan (Zen) at the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education, Jinshan Township, Taipei County, on 3 June 2007.

BENQ's Taiwanese headquarters organized eighty-five members, including high-level executives and staff members to be flown into Taiwan, where they paid their first visit to DDM and had a taste of Chan meditation. DDM's English-speaking volunteers guided the group throughout their visit.

The group was initially briefed and shown a presentation on "Protecting the Spiritual Environment and Settling Our Lives" in the Briefing Room to give an insight to the meaning and purpose of Chan in life.

Volunteers led the group exercises in body and mind relaxation such as Sitting Chan and Walking Chan. The group then proceeded to the Grand Buddha Hall in Walking Chan.

In addition to the Grand Buddha Hall, the group also visited the Founding Memorial Hall and the Wish-Fulfilling Guanyin Hall before leaving with much joy and gratitude for Chan.
