DDMSWCF Honoured for Humanitarian Work from the Ministry of Interior

The Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) once again received an honor and recognition from the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) for its long-term commitment and dedication to social and humanitarian efforts.

On the morning of 15 December, 2011, Secretary General of the DDMSWCF, Venerable Guo Qi, received the honor from Administrative Deputy Minister of the MOI, Mr. Chung-Ming Tseng, at the awards ceremony in Taoyuan City.

According to the MOI, the award is presented once every three years to non-governmental organizations that have actively contributed long-term efforts towards humanitarian work in the pursuit of social harmony and peace within the country and abroad.

In his acceptance speech, Venerable Guo Qi said that the credit for this award goes to all the men and women who have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly and selflessly into working for the various charitable and humanitarian projects the organization has been involved in.

He also pledged that DDMSWCF will continue to commit to caring for the welfare and well-being of disadvantaged people in line with the teachings of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, the Founder of DDMSWCF.
