DDMSWCF Liuguei offers care to aged people at the Baolai Community
The Peace of Mind Relief Station of DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) at Liuguei District of Kaohsiung City held activities for the elderly living at the Baolai Community on the morning of 1 November, 2011.
The event took place at the community center of Baolai, where 35 aged people invited along with 15 compassionate volunteers of the DDMSWCF Liuguei where invited to attend.
The event kicked off with volunteers helping aged people for health assessments, including for hypertension, vision and blood tests before they exercised the Eight-Form Moving Meditation.
In addition, volunteers also led the participants to experience the peace and happiness of chanting the holy name ‘Nan-Mo-A-Mi-Tou-Fo’ with their palms joined and of the tranquility of Chan (Zen) meditation.
This compassionate event drew to the end after celebrating together the birthday of the elderly in November.
