DDMSWCF Holds Two-Day Summer Camp in Sichuan
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) held a two-day Summer Camp at the Xiushui Primary School in northern Sichuan on 4th and 5th August, 2011.
Director of DDM’s Department of General Affairs, Venerable Chang Yuan, attended the camp offering her blessings and support.
The camp, which attracted 80 participants, began with a welcome speech by the Vice Principal of Xiushui Primary School. He expressed deep gratitude towards DDMSWCF’s for its compassion and willingness to sponsor and host the camp.
The two-day camp was aimed at introducing the idea of ‘Protecting theSpiritual Environment’ by means of a number of well-organized inspirational activities, such as drawing, dancing, meditation, and group games.
It is hoped that every student who participated in the camp will have the virtue of “Protecting the Spiritual Environment” ingrained in their memory and hearts as an important virtue to be practiced daily.
