Buddhist Association of China visits DDM World Center

On the morning of 22 August 2011, twenty monastics from The Buddhist Association of China, including Vice President Venerable Zeng Qin, visited the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education.

The group was joined by Venerable Jing Yao, the honorable Chairman of the China International Offering Ceremony to All Buddhas and Sanghas Association in the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Mr. Wei Guo, the Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs in the State Administration for Religious Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

The Abbot President of DDM, Venerable Guo Dong, the two Vice Abbot Presidents, Venerable Guo Hui and Venerable Guo Pin, and the President of the Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies, Venerable Guo Jing, greeted the honorable guests.

All guests were deeply touched by the Center’s tranquil Chan (Zen) atmosphere. Venerable Zeng Qin, said that he was thoroughly moved by the compassionate environment he sensed at the Center.

The visit ended with an enjoyable lunch and exchange of gifts.
