Guests from Mianyang High School Visit DDM World Center
Over sixty students and staff of Mianyang High School of Northern Sichuan, China, visited Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in the Jinshan District of New Taipei City on the morning of 7 August, 2011.
The purpose of their visit was to express their gratitude to DDM for providing them with long-term financial and spiritual support since the deadly earthquake which devastated Northern Sichuan in May 2008.
Vice Abbot President Venerable Guo Pin, together with the Secretary General of DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation, Venerable Guo Qi, greeted the guests upon their arrival.
This was followed by a guided tour around the DDM World Center, including visits to the Grand Buddha Hall, the Wish Fulfilling Guanyin Hall, the Lotus Bell Park and the Founding History Memorial Hall.
