DDMSWCF Holds Summer Camps in Sichuan
Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) held the 2011 Summer Camp of Protecting the Spiritual Environment in Sichuan, China.
Starting from 26 July, 2011, camps were held at Mianyang High School, Minxin High School, Xiushui First Primary School and Shifang High School in northern Sichuan where a deadly earthquake hit in May 2008.
Each camp, lasting for four days, had a variety of inspirational programs organized, enabling students to be acquainted with the ideas of DDM including the Six Ethics of the Mind, Protection of the Spiritual Environment and Fivefold Spiritual Renaissance Campaign.
DDMSWCF, through holding the 4-day programs, was hoping that students would learn ways to manage problems in life with a positive attitude and understand the values of cultivating self-merit by helping others in need.
