DDM 8th Annual Awakening Camp Taiwan

What is the life? Where does life lead to? From 30th of January, 2010, 121 people came from overseas and locally to attend the 8th Annual Awakening Camp to find their own answers from the heart.

Pupils from Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Macao and Australia gathered at Dharma Drum Sangha University of the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan Township. The nine-day program included observing Buddhist etiquettes, Chan meditation, Buddhist precepts and scripture chanting, with the purpose of discovering the value of life, resetting current life and to reacquaint with the essence of happiness.

The program planned by the DDM Sangha Community was energetic and inspirational. It was delivered using multi-media tools to allow students to point to the questions and understand the topics discussed in the classroom.

The Awakening Camp is held by Dharma Drum Sangha University annually and it offers youths a great opportunity to be a short-term monastic, experience the ease and happiness of being a monastic, as well as learning to transcend the limitations of life.
