DDMSWCF initiated the 2009 Year-End Philanthropy Party across the island

The Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) initiated the 2009 Year-End Philanthropic Party beginning from 12 December to 7 February, 2010, across Taiwan, aiming to offer assistance to about 2,500 financially disadvantaged households, as well as to the elderly living alone.



In addition to the continuing effort of providing spiritual and material assistance to those affected by the 88 Flood in August both in southern and eastern Taiwan, DDMSWCF is also looking to collaborate with NGOs in order to offer help to more people in need with the hope of bringing peace of mind to all.

The 2009 Year-End Philanthropic Party made its first stop at the Nung Chan Monastery located in the Beitou district of Taipei on 12 December, it will also be held in the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education in Jinshan Township of Taipei County on 20 DEcember, Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Culture in Beitou on 19 December, Zhaiming Monastery in Taoyuan County on 20 December, Taichung Branch Monastery on 10 January, Dehua Monastery in Nantou County from 31 January to 7 February, Tainan Branch Monastey on 19 December and Ziyun Monastery in Kaohsiung County on 17 January, as well as at the Peace of Mind Stations in the townships of Nantou, Dongshi and Zhushan.
