DDBC teams up with National Central Library to lift Buddhist studies

On the afternoon of the 8th October, 2009, Dharma Drum Buddhist College (DDBC) made the decision to team up with Taiwan's National Central Library (NCL) to promote Buddhist studies and preserve Buddhist resources.

The President of DDBC, Venerable Hui Min, and the Director General of NCL, Mr. Karl Min Ku, were both present at the signing ceremony to mark the beginning of this collaborative effort.

The collaboration aims to help promote and preserve the study of Buddhist and any related resources. In the future, both sides will work hand in hand to organise activities for the good of Buddhism, including an exhibition for valuable Buddhist scriptures, a Buddhist roundtable, digital preservation in Buddhism and also conserving and growing the collection of library resources about Buddhism.

Both sides believe this cooperation will further motivate and inspire the significance of Buddhist studies in the academic arena.
