DDMSWCF plans to build permanent housing at Jiaxian Township

With proactive coordination from the government, Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) is working on the project of building permanent housing for the typhoon survivors in collaboration with other domestic humanitarian organizations.

To accommodate the survivors of Xiaolin Village, where reportedly 300 villagers were swallowed by the deadly mudslide, DDMSWCF is now working together with the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to build permanent residences for as many as 200 families at Wulipu Village of Jiaxian Township in Kaohsiung County.

DDMSWCF has also established the Peace of Mind Relied Station at Lungfon Temple in Jiaxian Township on 22 August to serve the needs of the survivors.
