DDM Sangha community encourages all to keep practicing the teachings of Venerable Master Sheng Yen

Starting from 14 March, Dharma Drum Mountain Sangha community will be visiting faithful followers and volunteers island-wide with the aim of encouraging all to keep practicing the teachings of Venerable Master Sheng Yen.

The island-wide tour acknowledges the long-term contributions made by all DDM's volunteers and followers, leads pray for the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and encourages one to practice the Master's teachings, thereby allowing the Master's great compassion to flourish eternally.

The first stop, on 14 March was in Huilien on eastern Taiwan. The Abbot President of DDM, Venerable Guo Dong, via an online video, expressed his gratitude to everyone for striving to build a pure land on earth. He also asked all followers to make great vows of promoting orthodox Chinese Buddhism and DDM's teachings and ideas.

On 15 March, Venerable Guo Dong, Venerable Guo Qi and another eight Venerables of the DDM Sangha community visited Keelung on northern Taiwan. The activities were warm and filled with laughter.

Venerable Chang Ling shared his inspirational reflections on caring for the Master and said that he admired the Master's fearless attitude towards death while receiving medical treatment. Through this one realizes the Master's compassion and the significance of making vows for the good of humanity.

The DDM Sangha community asks for followers to make vows and truly practice the compassionate teachings of the Master. This will allow the idea of protecting the spiritual environment to grow stronger.
