DDM Invites you to practice the Six Ethics of the Mind for peace

Educating people about ethical ideas is necessary and important for living amidst chaotic surroundings. Therefore, since 2007, the Most Venerable Master Sheng Yen has been initiating a new campaign called "The Six Ethics of the Mind" with the aim of encouraging everyone to wholeheartedly practice the Six Ethics. These include, Family Ethics, Living Ethics, School Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Workplace Ethics and Ethics between Ethnic Groups.

From August, the campaign will be widely and actively promoted in society through public media and marketing channels, such as televisions, newspapers, the Internet, magazines, convenient stores, community bulletins and outdoor billboards.

The Most Venerable Master Sheng Yen said that recent topical issues such as protecting the environment, reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and reducing energy consumption are all relevant ethical ideas.

If everyone abides by the norms of ethics such as selfless contribution, practicing non-greed, showing respect to others and cherishing the natural environment, the society and one's mind will naturally be in peace, health and happiness.

To promote the campaign, Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) has invited the following social celebrities to speak on the different ethics:

· Vice President of Taiwan, Mr Vincent Hsiao, on Ethics between Ethnic Groups
· International well-known Kung Fu star, Mr Jet Li, on Environmental Ethics
· Taiwan's famous movie star, Miss Qingxia Lin on Living Ethics
· Taiwan's senior media producer, Miss Xiaoyan Zhang, to speak on Family Ethics
· Taiwan's famous entrepreneur, Mr Changshou Yan, on Workplace Ethics
· Taiwan's popular pop singer, Miss Jolin Tsai, on School Ethics.

Every one of these celebrities highly endorses the Master's Six Ethics of the Mind Campaign and are willing to shoot public advertisements on a pro bono basis.

Just like the Most Venerable Master said: "The goal of DDM to launch a campaign like the Six Ethics of the Mind is that every one in society will practice and as a result, influence others for the purpose of building a pure land on earth."
