Unleash their potentials and benefit the society: 2017 Talent Scholarship

To cultivate talent through loving care, and to encourage children at disadvantage who still strive for achievements. DDM held its 31st Reward Ceremony of “Talent Scholarship.”


On Nov. 11th, 9.00 A.M. in Zhaiming Monastery, Taoyuan. Recipients came to accept the rewards , from Taipei, Taoyuan, and Shin-Chu, ranging from elementary school to college, almost 400 talents and their family participated.

The outstanding youth, Lin, Xin-Ting, though in his blindness, won the best host of the Gold Bell Award, shared his experience with the audience. Before the commencement, by volunteers’ companion, participants firstly wore the eye masks, strolling around the turf outside the hall, and experience how blind people walk in the dark. During the lecture, Lin also interacted with participants through the performance of singing the songs, playing baseball game for blind in particular, and dancing imitating.



Venerable Guo-Zhou, the director of Zhaiming Monastery, encouraged all participants before the end of the ceremony, to carry the spirit of “Learning from Guanyin, Acting like Guanyin” , be grateful all the time, and not to forget contribute to and shine the world with our own compassionate and wisdom.

DDM Welfare and Charity Foundation also invited the public to be part of the adopters program, helping children in needs can have their health body and mind, freeing from adversity. So as to unleash their potentials and benefit the society.
