A Mind at Peace, a Life at Peace

In view of recent several felt earthquakes in Taiwan, Dharma Drum Mountain appeals to the public to show the empathy of what is called “life community” and pray for the stability of the mind of mankind, peace of the society, and good luck of those in need in Taiwan and all over the world in addition to appealing people to recite Buddha names for reassuring ourselves

The founder of DDM, the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen had said: “Often chanting the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva makes us have a mind at peace, and then a life at peace.” We can calm our bodies and mind, and alleviate the fear and panic in our mind through chanting Buddha names to further influence the surroundings when facing the impermanence of the outside environment. Only if we have a peaceful mind do we have a peaceful life.
