Abbot President of DDM Thanks Life TV

Life TV, a Dharma-themed television station, has propagated DDM’s TV programs for a long time. In order to express gratitude for this on behalf of DDM, Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong participated in an interview for Life TV’s Chinese New Year program in Degui Academy on 13 December 2013 and offered blessings for its 10th anniversary.

Abbot President of DDM emphasized that Buddhism’s most important role is purifying individual minds and society at large. The manpower and material resources required to run a modern television station are inestimable. Moreover, the intention of Buddha Dharma propagation through television media is altruistic, and thus is highly admirable.

DDM has a good relationship with many TV stations including Life TV. DDM’s TV programs such as “Great Dharma Drum” and the “Different Voice” lecture series by DDM founder, the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, had been broadcast on various religious TV stations. Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s “Diamond Sutra” lecture series have also been broadcast on Life TV, Buddha Compassion TV station and Golden TV since 2013.

Given that Chinese New Year was around the corner, Abbot President wished for high TV ratings for Life TV, and peace for the supporters and audience in the New Year. He encouraged everyone to live harmoniously in the manner of mutual respect, mutual forgiveness and tolerance in order to be peaceful, healthy, happy, and blessed.
