High-Ranking Media Officials from Mainland China Visit the DDM World Center
On 24 March 2013, 30 high-ranking media officials from mainland China paid their first visit to the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education.
DDM’s Vice Abbot President Venerable Guo Hui, received the honorable guests on behalf of the DDM Sangha, and led them to experience Chan (Zen) and the activities organized.
Venerable Guo Hui first introduced Dharma Drum Mountain and then the humanistic philosophies of its founder the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s. He said ‘our surroundings act like a mirror that reflects our mindset as well as others’. He stressed that therefore our surroundings can become warm and friendly if we can change our mindset towards others.
Head of the delegation, Mr. Wong Ruhua, thanked the DDM Sangha’s warm hospitality and the program which enabled the members to experience the joy of Chan within this Chan filled Center.
He said that their spirit have been greatly inspired and enriched from this special visit, and their minds have been greatly touched by the Master’s compassionate philosophies.
