HK Lay Buddhist Practitioners Visit the DDM Center

On 24 March 2013, 18 Buddhist practitioners from Leadership & Communication Skills of Tung Lin Kok Yuen Wang Fat Ching She, Hong Kong, visited the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education.

The objective of the visit was to experience Chan (Zen) practice and to exchange ideas of dharma propagation with the students of the Dharma Drum Sangha University.

The visit was most inspiring. One of the participants shared that it was his first time experiencing how to eat in a relaxed manner. Venerables from the DDSU encouraged the visitors to participate in the Awakening Camp hosted annually by the DDSU to truly experience monastic life within the Center, and to further their understanding about the Dharma.

Venerable Dhammapala of Wang Fat Ching She believed the visit would help attract more youth to learn Buddhism and become more interested in Buddhist activities, increasing the number of young talented people to propagate the dharma in the future.
