DDM Anhe Branch Organizes Lunar Chinese New Year Celebrations for the Elderly

In conjunction with the Lunar Chinese New Year, the Anhe Branch of Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) organized a Prayer Rituals event which was attended by more than a hundred people over the age of 70 years and their families.

There was plenty of laughter, happiness and joy as the senior citizens and their families paid homage to the Buddha and prayed for world peace and continued good health for all sentient beings.

The Director of the Anhe Branch, Venerable Guo Xu, reminded everyone that the elderly needed the warmest care, respect and attention from all of us. On behalf of the DDM Sangha, he wished that all would have continued good health, peace and happiness and be blessed, guided and protected by the Three Jewels (the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha).

She also urged the elderly to make use of every opportunity to cultivate mindfulness and peacefulness of the heart and mind and sincerely wished that the New Year will be a truly auspicious and good year for all.
