64 Couples Tie the Lifelong Knots at the DDM World Center

On the afternoon of 13 January 2013, 64 couples, receiving blessings from the DDM Sangha, tied the lifelong knot and took oaths in the Grand Buddha Hall of the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education. Couples from South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Great Britain, and Mainland China participated in the joint Buddhist wedding ceremony.

Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong not only offered his warmest blessing, but also presided the wedding. Apart from the Abbot President, Mayor of New Taipei City Li-Lun Chu, President of the Po Chung Foundation Po-Hsiung Wu and Director of National Immigration Agency Li-Kung Hsieh were the wedding witnesses and gave their sincere blessings to the brides and grooms.

Amidst blessing the couples, the Abbot President also transmitted the Three Jewels (the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha) as their spiritual refuges, as well as encouraged them to wholeheartedly bring the Dharma into practice in everyday life in order to nurture a joyful, peaceful and healthy family.

The DDM Buddhist Wedding 2013 ended with the Abbot President taking photos with each newly married couple and presenting them with gifts prepared by the Sangha.
