Nung Chan Monastery holds the end-of-year philanthropic party

On the morning of 16 December 2012, the Nung Chan Monastery held the end-of-year philanthropic party where thousands of people living in the Beitou District of Taipei City attended to celebrate and nurture a compassionate mind.

Director of the Nung Chan Monastery, Venerable Guo Xian, first offered her warmest gratitude to Nung Chan’s long-term volunteers who had selflessly dedicated compassion and time to the growth of the monastery, to the promotion of the Dharma, and to encourage others to have gratitude towards others and nurture self-wisdom and self-merit. She went on to welcome people to return to the Nung Chan Monastery for celebrating the inauguration of the Shuiyue Practice Center in January.

This party celebrated the role of Nung Chang Monastery which, in addition to providing financially disadvantaged families’ material relief, also delivered DDM’s care and support through a series of programs deliberately organized by compassionate volunteers.
