DDM Shuiyue Practice Center Inaugurated for Humanitarian Operations

On the morning of 29 December 2012, DDM Shuiyue Practice Center of the Nung Chan Monastery was inaugurated for humanitarian operations, such as Chan meditation and summer camps.

The inauguration ceremony was conducted by Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong along with honorable guests, including former Vice President of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Mr. Vincent (Wan-Chang) Hsiao, Venerable Chin Ren, Venerable Ming Kuan, and Mr. Ren-Xi Yao, the Center’s chief architect.

The Abbot President said that the Nung Chan Monastery was founded by the late Venerable Master Dong Chu and succeeded by the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen for promoting the Dharma and humanitarian missions. With thanks to the chief architect Mr. Ren-Xi Yao and his exceptional working teammates, the Shuiyue Practice Center of the Nung Chan Monastery was successfully inaugurated according to schedule. The centre will continue to carry out Master Sheng Yen's compassionate work by promoting the ideals of 'Protecting the Spiritual Environment'.
