DDMSWCF Holds End-of-Year Philanthropic Party at the DDM World Center
On the morning of 15 December 2012, the Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) held the End-of-Year philanthropic party at the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education. More than 600 residents of Shanzhi, Shimen, Wanli and Jinshan attended the event to celebrate and nurture compassion.
According to the DDMSWCF’s Executive Director, Mr. Hong-Chi Chiang, the party offered material relief to financially disadvantaged families, and enabled people to experience the interests of the Dharma, nurturing a compassionate heart.
On behalf of the DDM Sangha, Venerable Chang Zhe, offered attendees the warmest blessings and encouraged them that amidst less material enjoyment, one could still take good care of his own mind with the Dharma’s compassion and wisdom for peace and health. The Venerable also led the attendees to chant the holy name ‘Namo Amitofou’ for the nurturing of wisdom and peace.
