Abbot President Conducts a Religious Exchange Tour in Mainland China

Abbot President of Dharma Drum Mountain, Venerable Guo Dong, went on a 4-day religious exchange tour from the 20th to the 23rd of September, 2012, to Mainland China.

Venerable Guo Dong was accompanied by the President of DDM’s Dharma Upholders Society, Mr. Chu-Chi Huang. They visited the Hungfa Monastery in Shengzen, Kuangxiao Monastery in Guangzhou, Zhenshan Monastery in Qingdao, and the Nanshan Monastery in Sanya.

Venerable Guo Dong offered DDM’s warmest blessings and felicitations at each of the monasteries, and shared the philosophy of ‘Protecting Spiritual Environment’ as advocated by the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, the founder of Dharma Drum Mountain.

The Abbot President also expressed his wish that both sides could work hand in hand towards ‘building a pure land’, and promoting and sharing the wonderful Buddha Dharma to the people of both countries.
