DDMSWCF Hosts a Tea Party for Volunteers at Jiaxian

On the 19th of August 2012, in the Jiaxian Township of Kaohsiung City, the Peace of Mind Relief Station of the DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation, held a special tea party with the Chengkung Community.

The party was aimed at expressing the warmest gratitude to 36 volunteers who have dedicated themselves long-term to spreading the idea of “Protecting the Spiritual Environment”.

For years, the Peace of Mind Relief Station in Jiaxian has provided local residents and financially disadvantaged people with a series of caring programs in line with the teachings of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, the founder of Dharma Drum Mountain. More importantly, because of these compassionate volunteers the services offered by the Jiaxian Station have reached out further to those in need.

Venerable Chang Fa, Vice Secretary General of the DDM SWCF, came to the party to bestow every volunteer with a small gift as a blessing and to wish them to enjoy a sense of peace at all times.
