DDM Hosts Music Concert at Wanli District
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Public Social University of Dharma Drum Mountain, the Dharma Drum Mountain hosted a music concert on the evening of 18 August, 2012, at the Wanli Elementary School, attracting hundreds of people in the vicinity to attend.
Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong also attended to offer his personal warmest blessing, and gave an inspiring speech.
He said mindful peace hinges on our selfish mindset and on whether we are willing to make compassionate vows for others. If one could uphold an altruistic mindset at all times, then one will attain mindful peace, he stressed.
The music concert was held in collaboration with local music groups, including Chinese Erhu, Chinese Guzheng (Zither) and flute, which received big applauses from the audience.
