DDM Hosts Camps to Improve Family Relationships

Dharma Drum Mountain hosted three camps at the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education since the first camp was conducted on 28 July 2012, and the last camp was held on 12 August 2012.

Designed for families, the camp teaches participants to learn to listen to children’s voices and how to construct positive family relationships at home. Altogether 260 people signed up for the activities.

Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong attended the first day of the first camp to offer his warmest blessings and shared his view on life education. He said that mindfulness and peace comes as one practices right words and right behaviors in daily life and at home. This practice creates ‘positive energy’ for the children and contributes towards improving their character.
