Abbot President Visits the Senior High School of NTNU for its 65th Anniversary
On the 3rd of April, 2012 Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong visited the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University, on the invitation of its President, Chun-Chen Zhuo. The school is Venerable Guo Dong’s alma mater from which he graduated 37 years ago.
The visit was in conjunction with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the institution. Current Minister of the Government Information Office (GIO), Philip Y.M. Yang and former Minister, Chun-Bin, Su, both alumni of the institution, also attended the function. .
In his speech, the Abbot President said he came with a deep sense of gratitude to the institution for the great guidance and inspiration it had cultivated in him and the many other graduates of the school.
For over 65 years, many students have passed through its hallways and many have come out to be outstanding citizens and leaders of the country. In addition to offering blessings, he also encouraged the students to work hard with no fear, to make good vows with no doubt, and to always possess a positive mind with compassion for a prosperous and meaningful life ahead.
